Struggling to cope with grief and loss? Hotline support is available in Wales

Healing after a loss takes time. The pain of the loss can feel so intense that you don't know how to cope or where to turn. Talking openly about the loss can help you feel better. In Wales there are 3 support lines you can contact. Grieving can look like:
  • Feeling like there's a pit in your stomach
  • Feeling regret about things that were left unsaid
  • Feeling guilty about not having prevented the death or loss
  • Emotional exhaustion and extreme fatigue
  • Preoccupation with the loss and with reminders of your lost loved one
  • Increased anxiety about the future
  • Anger and blame directed toward yourself, others, or God for not preventing the loss
  • Relief if your lost loved one had a painful or debilitating illness
Grief and loss can bring up a diverse range of emotions. You may feel sad, angry, shocked, guilty, relieved, and scared all at once. This is a normal response but it can be confusing and make you feel alone.
Grieving is a very personal experience and because of that, it can feel isolating. If you're in Wales, speaking to someone who has been there too, and who understands can help you feel less alone.
Consider contacting a hotline in Wales right away for free, private help with grief or loss.

We’ve partnered with ThroughLine to compile a list of resources for support to address a variety of possible issues.

If you have a negative experience, please know it is not your fault; help is available. Submit a report by following our guidance here, and consider contacting one of the resources above.
