When you don't deal with stress in a healthy way, it can build up and start to negatively impact your life. You may find it harder to cope with everyday responsibilities. Fortunately, help is available from 22 hotlines in France. Stress can look like:

  • Sleep disturbances; sleeping excessively or not sleeping at all.
  • Constantly worrying about something.
  • Irritable, angry, and impatient.
  • Dry mouth and trouble swallowing anything.
  • Procrastinating or avoiding responsibilities.
  • Relying on drugs or alcohol to relax or feel better.
  • Digestive issues that result in diarrhea, constipation, heart burn, or digestive disorders.
  • Low energy and lack of motivation.

It's hard to relax and switch off when your mind is racing with thoughts about work, relationships, family, finances and anything else that's stressing you out. The worry and fear you experience consumes a lot of mental energy, making it hard to keep up with life's demands. However, there are healthy ways to cope.
